Spotlight: Mac Kiger

After the cancellation of the 2019-20 men's tennis season due to the coronavirus, GoHeels.com is highlighting the seasons of members of one of the best men's tennis teams in school history.
Next up is junior Mac Kiger, who posted a dominant doubles campaign with Simon Soendergaard and earned All-America honors.
The Kiger Ledger
• Teamed with Simon Soendergaard to earn All-America honors in doubles in 2020
• Won the Fall 2019 ITA Carolina Regional doubles championship with Soendergaard
• Later advanced to the semifinals of the Oracle ITA Fall National Championships, beating the top-seeded team along the way
• Went 20-4 in doubles with Soendergaard in 2019-20, including 9-2 in dual matches.
Mac is clearly one of the best doubles players in the country. He's an incredible athlete with tremendous hands and quickness. He's been a great doubles player since he got here, and he's really learned how to take advantage of his athleticism and talent.
