Four Tar Heels Included On TDS Midseason Top-100

Top Drawer Soccer released its Midseason Top 100 list on Tuesday. Included in the updated rankings are four North Carolina men's soccer players.
Sophomore midfielder Cam Lindley checks in at No. 2 on the list. The Carmel, Indiana, native leads the Tar Heels in scoring with 21 points on six goals and nine assists. Wearing the No. 6 kit, Lindley has picked up a point in four of the last five matches totaling 10 points in that time frame. His nine assists rank second in the Atlantic Coast Conference and fourth nationally.
Senior forward Alan Winn is 18th on the TDS list. He leads Carolina with eight goals and is second on the club with 17 total points in 11 matches. The Garland, Texas, product has netted three-game winners among his markers and is fifth among the ACC goal scoring leaders in 2017.
Sophomore midfielder Mauricio Pineda comes in No. 46. The Bolingbrook, Illinois, native has started all 15 matches in his second collegiate campaign. His only goal of 2017 thus far was a big one, the game winner over Duke in September. Pineda also has an assist and ranks fourth on the club with 25 shots.
Senior Zach Wright, the 75th choice on the list, has had a fantastic play-making season for the Tar Heels. The Smithville, Texas, product has two goals and eight assists for 12 total points. His eight assists is third in the conference and seventh in the nation.
North Carolina (12-2-1) sits No. 1 in the NCAA RPI this week, and fourth nationally in all four major soccer polls. The club hits the road to face ACC rival Virginia Tech on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. UNC leads the Coastal Division with 13 points, three clear of second place Notre Dame.
