Lindley, del Rosario Earn National Team Of The Week Honors

CHAPEL HILL - Lucas del Rosario and Cam Lindley earned National Team of the Week honors after leading their fourth-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels to a pair of victories last week.
A freshman from nearby Durham, del Rosario was named to the Top Drawer Soccer team of the week after scoring two late goals to lift Carolina to a come-from-behind, 2-1, victory in double overtime last Tuesday in Cary.
The reserve forward scored in the 88th minute, and then notched the game winner in the 102nd minute from an awkward angle. Jeremy Kelly and Lindley earned assists on the match-winning play.
Lindley, from Carmel, Indiana, garnered a spot on the College Soccer News national team of the week by registering one goal and an assist in the 4-0 victory on the road at ACC foe Virginia Tech on Sunday.
His 10 assists lead the club and are the most by a UNC player since Enzo Martinez distributed 11 assists for the 2011 NCAA championship team.
The win over the Hokies secured a third-consecutive ACC Coastal Division crown for the Tar Heels.
Carolina, the No. 1 ranked team in the NCAA RPI for a second week in a row, hosts nationally-ranked Notre Dame on Friday in the regular-season finale in Cary at 7 p.m. Before kick off, the Tar Heels will honor their senior class.
