#4 UNC Hosts #2 Wake Friday In Cary

CARY, North Carolina - Two of the top programs in men's college soccer square off Friday night when No. 4 North Carolina hosts second-ranked Wake Forest at WakeMed Soccer Park beginning at 7 p.m.
Both teams reached the 2016 NCAA College Cup and currently lead their respective ACC divisions with 12 points on identical 4-0 records.Â
FREE ADMISSION
All games hosted this season by North Carolina at WakeMed Soccer Park do not require an admission price. The Tar Heels will not play on campus this season in Chapel Hill while the new soccer and lacrosse field is currently under construction.

SERIES WITH WAKE FOREST
North Carolina leads the series 21-11-10 over Wake Forest. Friday night is the first head-to-head matchup since 2015 when the host Demon Deacons came away with a 1-0 win. Carolina head coach Carlos Somoano is 1-1-2 against Wake with the victory coming back in 2011. The last seven meetings have been decided by a single goal or finished in a draw.Â

Cam Lindley and Giovanni Montesdeoca each scored two goals in leading No. 4 North Carolina to a 6-0 victory over James Madison on Tuesday night from WakeMed Soccer Park. Seniors Alan Winn and Zach Wright also scored the Tar Heels, who notched six goals in a match for the second time this season.
Lindley also dished out an assist to record a single game career-high five points on the night. Freshman keeper Alec Smir made one save for his second clean sheet in as many matches. Additionally, the Tar Heel defense has three-straight shutouts and has surrendered only one goal in the last four outings.Â
