UNC Hosts 14th Kitty Harrison Invitational

CHAPEL HILL - The North Carolina women's tennis program will host the 14th-annual Kitty Harrison Invitational this weekend. The tournament will be played exclusively at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
Named in honor of former UNC head coach Kitty Harrison, the event features 13 teams from throughout the country, including ACC squads Duke and Virginia, in addition to the host Tar Heels.
Marika Akkerman, Maggie Kane, Chloe Oulett-Pizer and Cassandra Vazquez are expected to compete for Carolina.
In Chapel Hill, doubles play gets the tournament underway at 9 a.m., on Friday, followed by singles at 12 p.m.
Admission to all matches, which will be played both inside and outside, weather permitting, is free.
