UNC to face Indiana in semifinals

The North Carolina Tar Heels will take on the Indiana Hoosiers in the semifinals of the NCAA Championship on Friday, Dec. 8, at 8:45 p.m. ET at Talen Energy Stadium in Philadelphia. The game will air live on ESPNU. This is will be the sixth time in the last 10 years that the Tar Heels will be in the College Cup, more than any other program during that time.
History with Indiana
This will be the eighth meeting between the two storied programs with UNC leading the series 4-3. This will also be the sixth postseason meeting between the two since 2000, with UNC leading 3-2. In both national championship seasons for UNC (2001, 2011) the Tar Heels have defeated the Hoosiers in the post season, most notably the 2-0 win in the 2001 National Championship.
