Sophomore midfielder Cam Lindley and senior forward Alan Winn were both named All-Americans by United Soccer Coaches on Thursday. Lindley, a second team All-American last season, earned first team honors and Winn was named to the second team.

Lindley, one of three underclassman to be named to the first team, leads the Tar Heels in total points (27), shots on goal (23) and assists (13). His 13 assists are the most by one player in a season under head coach Carlos Somoano, and the most in one season since the record was set at 16 in 2002.

Winn, second in the ACC in goals per game, leads the team with 11 goals in only 16 appearances, and is second on the team with 24 points. Winn also ranks fourth in total goals in the ACC and third in points per game.

This makes 14 All-American selections among 11 different players in Somoano's seven years as head coach of the Tar Heels.

Carolina will take on the Indiana Hoosiers on Friday night at 8:45 p.m. ET in the national semifinal on ESPNU.
