Tar Heels Get Ready For Hoosiers In Semifinals
December 7, 2017 | Men's Soccer
Travel days are always interesting and there's just no way around it. What do you expect when you try to move 35 players and staff across the country for the final four. But, luckily for the Tar Heels the trip to Philadelphia for its semifinal matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers was relatively painless. A flight here, bus ride there and a team meal with some pranks between players and day one was a wrap.
Day two in Philadelphia was a little more College Cup focused as players and coaches took their first steps on the field at Talen Energy Stadium. Alan Winn, Cam Lindley, Zach Wright and head coach Carlos Somoano met with local and national media members, ESPN producers and announcers and met the rest of the team for practice later that day before heading back to the hotel to prepare for the annual welcome reception of all College Cup recipients.
The Tar Heels will face the Hoosiers on Friday night at 8:45 p.m. ET live on ESPNU for a spot in the national championship between the winner of Akron/Stanford. To follow along with the Tar Heels trip to Philadelphia for the College Cup, follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
