Meet The Heels Set For Aug. 5

CHAPEL HILL --- The North Carolina football team's annual "Meet The Heels" day is set for Saturday, Aug. 5, from 4-6 p.m. on The Plaza at 140 West Franklin Street due to ongoing construction on campus. Â Meet The Heels is free to the public and event parking information can be found on at ParkOnTheHill.com. Tar Heel Express services will be provided from select lots.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. with the public unveiling of the new Jordan Brand Carolina Football uniforms. Â The autograph session featuring the 2017 Carolina football team and head coach Larry Fedora will run from 4:30-6 p.m.
Featured activities include:
• Interactive inflatables for kids
• Unveiling of new Jordan Brand Carolina Football uniforms
• Free Carolina football posters and schedule cards
• Balloon twisters, face painters, and a walk-around magician
• Chapel Hill Sportswear with all the newest Jordan Brand football gear
UPDATED PARKING INFORMATION
Tar Heel Express will operate for Meet the Heels on Saturday, August 5, from 3-7:30 p.m. Shuttles will operate from Airport Drive (103 Airport Drive, Chapel Hill) and 725 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (Chapel Hill). The shuttles will provide continuous and fully accessible service, running every 10 minutes between the parking locations and Downtown Chapel Hill (South Columbia Street and Franklin Street). Parking and shuttles will be FREE. The last shuttle will leave Downtown Chapel Hill (South Columbia Street and Franklin Street) at 7:30 p.m.
