Tar Heels To Watch: Julia Scoles

Julia Scoles put together one of the best rookie campaigns in Carolina history last season, earning ACC and AVCA East Coast Region Freshman of the Year as well as AVCA All-America Honorable Mention. After winning the first two ACC Freshman of the Week awards, she went on to became the second Tar Heel ever to win back-to-back ACC Player of the Week honors.Â
A talented server, she ranked sixth in the ACC in aces per set and finished in the top five all time among UNC freshmen in kills, attempts, hitting percentage and aces per set. The Mooresville, North Carolina, native will play a key role in Carolina's bid to repeat as ACC Champion in 2017.
