Tar Heel Trio Named To Senior Bowl Watch List

North Carolina's Brandon Harris, Bentley Spain and M.J. Stewart were named to the 2018 Senior Bowl Watch List, the Senior Bowl announced recently. Played in Mobile, Alabama, on January 27, 2018, the Senior Bowl annually features the country's best senior collegiate football players and top NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and South that are coached by the entire coaching staffs of two National Football League teams.
Harris is a graduate transfer who played in 25 games over three seasons at LSU and made 15 starts, including all 12 games as a sophomore in 2015. The Bossier City, Louisiana, product finished his LSU career completing 187 of 347 pass attempts for 2,756 yards, 20 TDs, and 10 interceptions. Harris also rushed for 370 yards and seven touchdowns.
A native of Charlotte, Spain is set to begin his third season as Carolina's starter at left tackle. A steady performer who is the veteran leader of the UNC offensive line, Spain has logged 23 career starts, including all 13 games in 2016.
Stewart led the team with 11 pass breakups and finished sixth with 59 tackles as a junior. The Arlington, Virginia, native ranks third all-time at UNC with 29 pass breakups, including 25 over the last two seasons. He was an honorable-mention All-ACC selection in 2016.
