Plenty of Promotions Planned for 2017

CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina volleyball is excited to announce the promotional schedule for the 2017 home season. Highlights include Daddy-Daughter Day, 80s Night, the annual Get Real & Heel cancer awareness match, a youth coloring contest and more. Fans can enjoy postgame autographs after every Sunday afternoon match, while UNC students will get Carolina Fever points at four matches throughout the season.
The home season opens with the Carolina Classic on Sept. 8-10. The Marching Tar Heels will be in attendance for their first of 10 volleyball matches this season. The home opener against LIU-Brooklyn on the 8th will be the first Carolina Fever match, and the first 200 students in attendance will get free pizza.
Sunday, Sept. 10, is Girl Scout Day. Those who RSVP can enjoy crafts and pizza before the match, while all fans will have their first chance to meet the Tar Heels at the postgame autograph session.
When Carolina hosts Loyola-Marymount on Friday, Sept. 15, it will be Youth Night. The National Boys and Girls Club Day for Kids will feature a coloring contest – click here to download the UNC volleyball coloring page – bring your best submission to the match and you could win a UNC Volleyball prize!
Saturday, Sept. 16, vs. Coastal Carolina will be a White Out (fans encouraged to wear white), while Friday, Oct. 6, will be a Carolina Blue Out against Duke.
The Tar Heels' ACC home opener, Sunday, Sept. 24, vs. Louisville, will be Team Day, and the following Sunday, Oct. 8, vs. Wake Forest will feature a Camper Reunion along with Get Real & Heel, the annual breast cancer awareness pink match.
Carolina will play at the Smith Center – home of the 2017 National Champion Men's Basketball Team – on Friday, Oct. 13, prior to the annual Late Night with Roy season kickoff event. The following day, UNC football and volleyball will host a doubleheader with Virginia. Fans who show their Carolina football ticket will receive a free giveaway.
Baked goods are celebrated twice this season, as Wednesday, Oct. 18 (NC State), is National Chocolate Cupcake Day while Sunday, Nov. 5 (Syracuse), is National Donut Day.
Friday, Nov. 3 (Boston College), will be Daddy-Daughter Day. Come together and receive a special concession deal.
The final Carolina Fever Night will be 80s night, on Thursday, Nov. 9, vs. Georgia Tech, while the home season comes to an end on Saturday, Nov. 11, with Senior Night.
