DeSelm Reveals 2017-18 Tar Heel Schedule

Carolina opens October 6 at Georgia.
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of North Carolina men's and women's swimming and diving program has announced its 2017-18 dual meet and invitational schedule as revealed by UNC head coach Rich DeSelm Saturday.
DeSelm's 11th season as head mentor of the Tar Heels will see them open up with a dual meet at Georgia on October 6. UNC will also travel to South Carolina later in October before hosting dual meets against Virginia Tech on November 4 and Texas on November 11.
Carolina's fall invitational schedule will see coach Abel Sanchez's divers competing at the Ohio State Invitational from November 17-19 while the swimmers will be in action at the Tennessee Invitational from November 30-December 2.
Carolina's January 2018 schedule will be filled with exciting dual meet action as UNC will face Navy and Penn State on January 13, Virginia on January 20, NC State on January 26 and Duke on January 27.
The Janis Hape Dowd Nike Invitational, a meet which dates back to the fall of 1986 when Koury Natatorium first opened, will be held in Chapel Hill from February 2-4.
The Tar Heel teams then head into championships competition. The ACC meets are both in Greensboro, N.C., with the women and the diver on deck February 14-17 and the men in action Februrary 21-24.
Sanchez's divers will seek NCAA qualification at the zone diving meet schedule for Knoxville, Tenn., from March 5-7. Over the following two weeks the NCAA Championships will be held with the women at Columbus, Ohio from March 14-17 and the men at Minneapolis, Minn., from March 21-24.
