Aney, Graham Reach Doubles Semifinals In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS - North Carolina's doubles team of Jessie Aney and Alexa Graham have reached the semifinals of the doubles bracket to highlight the Tar Heels effort on Saturday at the 2018 Freeman Memorial Championship at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the campus of UNLV.
Aney and Graham, the No. 2 seed and ranked 18th nationally, took down Pepperdine's duo of Evgeniya Levashova and Dzina Milovanovic by a slim margin of 7-6 in a quarterfinal match.
The Tar Heel tandem will face No. 3 seed and 20th ranked Vladica Babic and Sofia Blanco of Oklahoma State on Sunday morning.
In singles, No. 1 seed and 16th ranked Ena Shibahara of UCLA defeated Graham, 6-1, 6-2, while unranked Victoria Emma of Florida topped Aney, the No. 2 seed and 18th nationally, 6-4, 6-2.
