• Luke Maye had 18 points, 11 boards (10th double-double in 18 games), three assists, no turnovers and a career-high-tying three steals.• The win was Roy Williams' 830th career victory, tying him with Jim Phelan of Mt. St. Mary's for seventh all time in wins by a Division I head coach.
• Carolina trailed 66-60 with 5:58 to play and did not allow a Notre Dame basket (and just two free throws) the rest of the game.
• The Tar Heels tied their season best with just seven turnovers (that's 15 in last two games since season-worst 19 in Charlottesville).
• Carolina holds Irish to 34.8 percent from the floor on the road, Notre Dame's lowest field goal percentage thus far in ACC play this year
• Luke Maye totaled 50 points, 29 boards, 5 assists and 3 steals with 21 of 34 shooting from the floor in two wins this week.
