Zone pricing will be in effect for 2018 season tickets.
Football Season Tickets Move To Zone Pricing
January 9, 2018 | Football
CHAPEL HILL—Carolina Football 2018 season tickets go on sale on Friday, Jan. 12th, with five all-new price points based on seat locations in Kenan Stadium. The prices are based on five zones designated throughout the stadium.
Â
Carolina is replacing bleacher seats with individual seats throughout Kenan Stadium (except for student sections). The chair backs and the new pricing structure, designed to help fans find the price point that works best for them, are efforts to create a more enjoyable and fan-friendly game-day experience.
Â
Season ticket prices vary from $375 for seats closest to midfield to $150 per seat in the corners of the upper deck. Prices will decrease in 2018 for more than 70 percent of the seats in the stadium, both in the total amount and per-game average. The zones and prices for seats in each zone are detailed in the attached graphic.
Â
How to Buy
Â
Season tickets for all fans go on sale on Friday, Jan. 12th. Fans buying tickets will make a $150 deposit for each seat they want to purchase. The balance of the ticket price will be collected when the seats are selected or assigned. Ticket orders and deposits must be received by April 13th to qualify for seat selection.
Â
Rams Club members will select their seats from any available seat in the five zones in May as part of the Equity Seating process, as 2018 is a scheduled seat selection year. The order for seat selection will be determined by membership rank in The Rams Club as of April 13th. For more information on the Equity Seating process, click here.
Â
Rams Club members will pay the balance of their ticket amount after selecting their seats in May. For example, if a member selects a seat in Zone 1 ($375 per seat), he or she will pay $225 after selection – having already paid a $150 deposit at the time of order.Â
Â
Non-Rams Club members purchasing season tickets will have their seats assigned after Rams Club selections are complete.

Â
Q&A ON ZONE PRICING
Â
Why is "Zone Pricing" being put in place?
Zone pricing gives Carolina Football fans the opportunity to enjoy season tickets at a variety of price points.
Â
How should I order and pay for tickets?
Fans can put in their deposit of $150 per seat starting January 12th, and can do so by accessing their online ticket account, by calling the UNC Athletics Ticket Office, or by calling The Rams Club. All orders must be placed by April 13th to receive priority selection. Purchasers will pay the balance of their order upon selecting their seats.
Â
Are premium seats included in this new zone pricing?
Premium seat purchasers are included in the zone pricing in that their seats fall into Zones 1 or 2. Tickets in the Pope Box, the Mezzanine, the North Koury Box and the South Koury Box will be priced with Zone 1 ($375), corresponding with other sideline seats near midfield. Tickets in the Blue Zone will be priced with Zone 2 ($320), corresponding with other end zone seats. Premium seat purchasers should pay their full ticket balance upon ordering since their zone location and price are known.
Â
May I pay my full ticket price now?
No. Purchasers will make a $150 deposit at the time of ordering season tickets. The balance is not due until the seats are selected. Since the location of seats will not be known until the seats are selected, an anticipated full balance for the tickets cannot be made until a purchaser's selection is complete. Blue Zone and premium seat purchasers should pay their full balance at the time of purchase since they are not selecting seats.
Â
How will I select my seats?
During the Equity Seating process, donors will be able to select their seats using the seat selection website (to be launched in April), in-person at Kenan Stadium, or over the phone with a representative at the selection time.
Â
How are seat selection appointment times determined?
As with previous selection processes in 2011, 2012, and 2015, seat selection appointments will be based upon the Priority Point System, with a donor's point total as of April 13th determining selection rank. As always, a donor's giving level as of April 13th will determine how many seats may be chosen at the priority selection time.
Â
How do I learn my Rams Club rank?
Active Rams Club members can check their priority points and rank among active members by logging into their Rams Club account at ramsclub.com.
Â
How can I earn additional priority points to improve my ranking before seat selection appointment times are assigned?
There are several ways Rams Club members can increase their point total. The best ways are by referring a friend to join The Rams Club, or by making financial contributions in support of Carolina student-athletes through The Rams Club between now and April 13th.
Â
Will I still be able to select any available parking (based on a giving level of Big Ram or higher and the purchase of tickets)?
Yes. The selection of parking will coincide with ticket selection, and is not changed by the new "zone pricing".
Â
Will I be able to select my same seats from last season?
Carolina cannot guarantee your exact seats from last year will be available at your selection time – and with the new chairback seating, no seat or seat number will remain the same due to reduced capacity. You may, however, select any available seat at your assigned appointment time.
Â
When will I find out my seat and parking selection appointment time?
You will be sent your appointment time in late April after the season ticket and Rams Club priority giving deadlines of April 13th.
Â
May I select as many seats as I want during my appointment time?
Your Rams Club giving level determines the maximum number of tickets you may select based on your point priority. If you wish to purchase additional tickets above the number allowed by your giving level, those tickets will be assigned after the seat selection process has been completed.
Â
Is my seat location guaranteed forever?
No. Seat selection at Kenan Stadium guarantees your seat for three years if your Rams Club giving level does not decrease. The next seat selection is scheduled for 2021.
Â
How do I sit with friends, family, or other donors?
For donors wishing to sit with a group of friends or family, all accounts may select their seats and parking at the appointment time of the lowest-ranked donor in the group.
