Daavettila Selected ACC Player Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Sara Daavettila of North Carolina has been selected as the ACC Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
Daavettila shined in North Carolina's run to the 2018 ITA National Team Indoor Championship, helping the Tar Heels defeated Ole Miss, No. 9 Duke, No. 8 Texas Tech, and No. 6 Pepperdine. The sophomore from Williamston, Michigan, posted a 4-0 record in singles, including wins over Pepperdine's 20th-ranked Mayar Sherif Ahmed, Duke's 65th-ranked Kaitlyn McCarthy and Texas Tech's 72nd-ranked Sabrina Federici.
In doubles, Daavettila paired up with teammate Alle Sanford to earn three wins, including a victory over second-ranked McCarthy and Ellyse Hamlin of Duke, and the 27th-ranked pair of Sabina Machalova and Natalie Suk from Ole Miss.
