Rams Club Looks To Beat Duke
February 8, 2018 | General
CHAPEL HILL—The Rams Club is gearing up for their own challenge against the rivals from eight miles down the road. The Our Blue Is Best Challenge pits The Rams Club at UNC against the Iron Dukes at Duke in a membership challenge to see which fan base can best support their student-athletes with the most new members and most dollars raised between February 8 (Duke at UNC) and March 3 (UNC at Duke).
The two organizations are tracking their battle daily at ramsclub.com/ourblueisbest.
The Rams Club is a group of supporters who believe in providing educational and athletic opportunities for Carolina's outstanding student-athletes through scholarships, facility enhancements and program support. With 28 varsity sports and more than 800 student-athletes, Carolina has established itself as one of the premier athletics programs in the country. The cost of supporting those Tar Heels has greatly increased with tuition costs doubling in just the last 10 years.
These rising costs have threatened Carolina's ability to provide student-athlete scholarships. With your help, Carolina can continue to provide opportunities to the best and brightest student-athletes. An added bonus – if you join before March 4, you can also help Carolina beat Duke in the Our Blue is Best Challenge.
If you're not a current Rams Club member, you can join today at ramsclub.com/ourblueisbest. If you are a current Rams Club member, you can be a part of the challenge by making a contribution to the Our Blue is Best Challenge or by encouraging friends and family to join The Rams Club.
Rams Club memberships start at just $100 annually ($25 for current UNC students and 50 percent off for graduates in the last five years). Benefits include ticket priority over the general public, invitations to special events, the new Born & Bred magazine, and more. The best benefit, though, is knowing the impact you have on the lives of Carolina student-athletes.
Each person who donates to the Our Blue is Best Challenge, joins The Rams Club during the challenge or refers a new member will be eligible for the several drawings that will take place during the challenge. Among the items being drawn for are: a personalized autographed basketball from Roy Williams and two tickets to next year's Carolina vs. Duke game at the Smith Center.
