Six Carolina gymnasts were named to All-EAGL teams: Alexis Allen, Kaitlynn Hedelund, Khazia Hislop, Morgan Lane, Madison Nettles, and Mikayla Robinson.
Six Carolina Gymnasts Named All-EAGL

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The East Atlantic Gymnastics League announced the first and second all-EAGL teams for the 2018 season on Monday, March 19th. The top 16 gymnasts in each event earned all-EAGL accolades for their performances this year. Six Tar Heels earned a total of eleven honors across three events and the all-around competition: Alexis Allen, Kaitlynn Hedelund, Khazia Hislop, Morgan Lane, Madison Nettles, and Mikayla Robinson.
Senior Morgan Lane and sophomore Khazia Hislop were both named to three different All-EAGL teams. Lane received first team All-EAGL honors for balance beam, floor exercise, and the all-around. Hislop was named first team All-EAGL on vault, beam, and floor. Senior Madison Nettles collected two honors of her own: first team all-EAGL on vault and second team all-EAGL on floor.
Senior Kaitlynn Hedelund and sophomore Alexis Allen were each named to second team all-EAGL on vault, and sophomore Mikayla Robinson earned a spot on the second team all-EAGL on floor exercise.
All six EAGL competitors will face off Saturday, March 24th at 2:00 p.m. in Towson, Md. for the annual EAGL Championship competition.
