Carolina Supporting Million Meals Challenge on Friday

CHAPEL HILL – In support of the Million Meals Challenge, Carolina softball fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to Friday's 6 p.m. matchup vs. Duke at Anderson Stadium. Â

UNC Athletics will be collecting any non-perishable donations on March 9 at Anderson Stadium. To reward fans, students and alumni for participating in the Big 4 Million Meals Challenge, each donation of three of more items will receive a $5 gift card to Harris Teeter while supplies last.

UNC Athletics and Harris Teeter have teamed up in the Million Meals Challenge to support local families in need and to help curb the North Carolina hunger epidemic. The Million Meals Challenge focuses on generating yearlong support, all donations go to the North Carolina Food Banks. From now until March 9, 2018 UNC will be competing with Duke, NC State and Wake Forest to see which students, fans, and alumni can donate the most. Help UNC win in the pursuit to collect a million meals.
