• Roy Williams will be making an appearance in South Dakota this weekend.
2. LAST WEEK
• Tar Heel legend Charlie Scott got news he'll never forget when he was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, becoming the 10th UNC player or coach to be so honored.
• Sam Perkins also grabbed big honors when he was named to the Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.
• Luke Maye earned third-team All-America honors from the Associated Press.
3. 2018-19 SEASON TIDBITS
• Cameron Johnson has found a home in Chapel Hill, the graduate student told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:  ""It showed me how much of a family Carolina basketball really is," Johnson realized early in the season.
• Carolina will spend Thanksgiving at the Las Vegas Invitational, an event that also will include Michigan State, UCLA and Texas.
• Incoming freshman Nassir Little won MVP honors at the McDonald's All-America game:
