Wilson Named Naismith Trophy National Player Of The Week

University of North Carolina freshman forward Caleb Wilson has been named the Naismith Trophy National Player of the Week, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced on Monday afternoon.
The freshman totaled 45 points, 13 rebounds and shot a combined 14 for 26 from the floor in a pair of Tar Heel wins last week.
Wilson had a team-high 22 points and nine rebounds in last Monday's win over Syracuse in Chapel Hill, hitting 10 of 13 free throws as well. In Saturday's win over Duke, he had a team-high 23 points on 8 of 12 shooting and 6 of 6 at the free throw line, adding two steals.
Carolina will return to action on Tuesday night at Miami.
