One of the most decorated players in UNC softball history, Danielle Spaulding joins the 2011 Tar Heels as a student assistant coach while completing her undergraduate degree.
2010: First three-time NFCA All-America in UNC history Led the Tar Heels in RBI (33) while cranking eight home runs and registering a career best .323 batting average In the circle, struck out a career-best and school record 344 batters in 2010 Posted a 21-7 record, 1.21 ERA and a UNC record six no-hitters in her senior season Named the 2010 ACC Pitcher of the Year, becoming only the third player in ACC history to earn third individual league awards Finishes career ranking in the top-five in ERA, opponent batting average, strikeouts and wins in Tar Heel history.

2008: As a sophomore, appeared in and started 59 games Became the eighth All-America in school history when she was selected to the NFCA All-America Second Team Named the ACC Player of the Year Earned first team NFCA All-Southeast Region and All-ACC honors Picked up ACC All-Tournament honors after tossing a perfect game in the first round against Virginia Finished the season with a 16-3 record and a pair of saves in the circle to go along with a 0.97 ERA Struck out a team-high 208 batters, ranking fourth in the ACC Averaged 11.3 strikeouts per seven innings finishing third in the country Allowed just 2.71 hits per seven innings, ranking second in the nation Opponents hit a lowly .116 on the year Struck out 10 or more batters in 10 of 20 starts in the circle Threw a five inning no hitter against Campbell on Feb. 20 Struck out a career-high 16 batters against Illinois State on March 2 Was just as formidable at the plate, finishing second on the team with a .325 batting average (53 for 163) Tallied a team-high 11 home runs Drove in 38 runs on the year and crossed the plate 27 times Recorded an on-base percentage of .427 ranking second on the team Recorded 14 multi-hit and eight multi-RBI games Went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and four RBIs with a home run against Lafayette on March 8 During the postseason went 4 for 9 with three runs scored, four RBIs and three extra base hits.
2007: As a freshman, appeared in 19 games with nine starts in the circle Posted a 7-2 record with an ERA of 1.93 Struck out 50 batters in 58.0 innings Went 8 for 38 (.211) at the plate with three runs and seven RBIs Threw five innings of shutout ball against Virginia in the ACC Tournament on May 11 Struck out a career-high eight in back-to-back starts against UNC Wilmington on March 21 and Boston College on March 24 Had a streak of 14.2 innings without allowing a run from March 31-April 12.
At Etiwanda High School in Etiwanda, Calif.: Played volleyball and softball Three-time Gatorade Player of the Year and Gatorade Rookie of the Year in 2003 All-San Bernadino County Player of the Year 2006 Earned 2006 All-CIF honors Softball team captain for three years Two-time team MVP Named Female Athlete of the Year in 2006.
