1963— Joe Craver: Football (Shelby, N.C.)
Second-team All-ACC center in 1961 and first-team in 1962. Also played linebacker. Co-captain. Second-team Academic All-America in 1962 and also won the ACC Senior Scholarship Award in 1963. Member of the Order of the Golden Fleece and the Order of the Old Well. Craver was the first Morehead Scholar to attend UNC Medical School and he became a cardio-thoracic surgeon and professor at Atlanta’s Emory University.
