Consensus All-America and the ACC Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 1995.
Broke Lawrence Taylor’s UNC record for career sacks with 24. A two-time first-team All-ACC selection, Jones led the ACC’s No. 1 rated total defense in 1995. Finished his career with 222 tackles, including 46 for losses. Helped Carolina play in four straight bowl games, winning the Peach Bowl following the 1992 season and the 1995 Carquest Bowl.
