1954— Miles Gregory: Football, Wrestling (Alexandria, Va.)
Enlisted in the Marines out of high school. Later enrolled at UNC, where he played football, wrestled and boxed. Won Southern Conference championships in wrestling in 1951 and boxing in 1953. Lost just one wrestling match in 1951 to the eventual national champion. Graduated pre-med and earned his medical degree at Duke in 1958. Went on to practice medicine in Halifax County for over 40 years.
