During halftime on Sunday, January 14, 2001 at the UNC/NC State Women's basketball game, three former UNC Women's basketball players will each shoot one shot. On Saturday, February 3, 2001, three different former UNC Women's basketball players will each shoot one shot during halftime at the UNC/Georgia Tech men's basketball game.

Each former women's basketball player will be shooting one shot worth $500 for the student winner of the Wachovia Bank Shot contest for that date on tarheelblue.com, with a maximum of $1,500 that could be awarded as a student tuition scholarship. Wachovia will match the award with a donation to the UNC General Scholarship Fund for Women's Athletics. Each winner will receive at least a $250 Tuition Scholarship to UNC-Chapel Hill, regardless of whether the shots are successful.

The first winner of the Wachovia Bank Shot contest will be selected in a random drawing held on January 12, 2001, prior to 9 a.m., and the second winner will be selected in a random drawing held on January 31, 2001.

Contest expires on Friday, January 12, 2001 for the January 14 event and on Wednesday, January 31, 2001 for the February 3 event.

The winner of the first drawing held on January 12, 2001 must be present at the Smith Center on Sunday, January 14, 2001 for the UNC/NC State Women's basketball game in order to collect the prize. The winner of the second drawing must be present at the Smith Center on Saturday, February 3, 2001 for the UNC/GA Tech Men's basketball game in order to collect the prize.

Winners will be notified by Saturday, January 13, 2001 for the January 14, 2001 event. For the event on February 3, 2001, the winner will be contacted no later than Friday, February 2, 2001 at 5 p.m.
