CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Coach Sam Paul's University of North Carolina men's tennis team will be seeking its third successive dual-match victory on Wednesday afternoon when the Tar Heels play host to the 49ers of UNC Charlotte at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. Match time is 2:30 p.m.
The match will be the Tar Heels' second outdoors match of the campaign. UNC opened its outdoor season last Thursday by recording a 5-2 victory over intrastate rival Davidson. That win improved Carolina to 5-2 on the season and gave the Tar Heels a two-match winning streak. Carolina's only two losses this year have both come at the hands of Top 20 teams--Texas and Texas A&M.
UNC Charlotte is 4-4 on the campaign. The 49ers will be looking to break a three-matching losing streak when they face the Tar Heels Wednesday. UNC Charlotte is currently ranked #62 in the nation. Carolina is currently ranked #48.
