Kevin Best Re-Joins Carolina Media Relations Staff

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- Kevin Best, a 1993 University of North Carolina graduate, has been hired at his alma mater as Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations. Best will direct daily publicity efforts for football and supervise gymnastics and women's tennis. The 29-year-old Raleigh, N.C., native comes back to UNC after a year at Total Sports in Raleigh.
Best was previously the Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations at UNC for three years (1996-99). He assisted with football and men's basketball and handled track and field and cross country. He edited the football and men's basketball media guides and bowl brochures. He joined Muhleman Marketing in Charlotte last spring before being hired as a college sports internet editor at Total Sports.
Best served a sports information internship at the University of Georgia in 1993-94 and was the men's basketball and volleyball contact the University of Nebraska in 1994-95 and 1995-96. He returned to Chapel Hill in June 1996.
