Wachovia Bank Shot Student Tuition Contest

1. HERE'S HOW TO ENTER: Fill out this form completely, including name, student ID number, e-mail address and telephone number, click "submit" and you will be automatically entered to win the Wachovia Bank Shot Student Tuition Contest. Not responsible for any computer, telephone, cable, network, electronic or Internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, availability or garbled or jumbled transmissions, service provider/Internet/web site/use net accessibility or availability, traffic congestion, or unauthorized human intervention. All entries become the property of the sponsor and can be used for promotional purposes.
2. ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY: Contest is open to all individuals age 18 years or older who are full time undergraduate students of UNC-Chapel Hill, except that all scholarship athletes at UNC-Chapel Hill are ineligible. Employees of Tar Heel Sports Marketing, Wachovia, and their subsidiaries are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Winners will be responsible for all federal, state and local taxes.
3. PRIZE: Two winners will each receive at least a $250 Tuition Scholarship to UNC-Chapel Hill. If the former UNC women's basketball players successfully make three consecutive shots as outlined in paragraph 7 below, the prize will be increased to a $1500 Tuition Scholarship. Odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
4. DRAWING: The first winner will be selected in a random drawing held on January 12, 2001, from among all eligible entries received prior to 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time on that date. The second winner will be selected in a random drawing held January 31, 2001, from among all eligible entries received.
5. WINNER NOTIFICATION/RELEASE: First winner will be notified by both telephone and e-mail on Friday, January 12, 2001 for the January 14 event and the second winner will be notified by both telephone and e-mail on Wednesday, January 31, 2001 for the February 3 event, based on the information provided in the entry. If prize notification is undeliverable, or prize winners cannot be reached to claim prize by noon on Saturday, January 13, 2001 and by noon on Friday February 2, 2001, prizes will be awarded to alternate winners randomly selected from among remaining entries. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Winners will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release. By acceptance of prizes, winners agree to release Tar Heel Sports Marketing, Wachovia, their subsidiaries, affiliates and agencies from any and all kind of liability, claims or action for injuries, damages or losses of any kind to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with participation in the contest or the use of the prize. Entry constitutes permission to use winners' name and likeness for publicity without approval or further compensation. Contest expires on Friday, January, 12, 2001 for the January 14 event and on Wednesday January 31, 2001 for the February 3 event. No entries will be accepted after 9 AM EST on Friday, January 12, 2001 for the January 14 event. No entries will be accepted after 9 AM on Wednesday January 31, 2001 for the February 3 event. For the January 12 event, the selected winner must be present at the Smith Center on Sunday, January 14, 2001 for the UNC/NC State Women's basketball game in order to collect the prize. For the February 3 event, the selected winner must be present at the Smith Center on Saturday February 3, 2001 for the UNC/Georgia Tech men's basketball game in order to collect the prize. Tar Heel Sports Marketing will contact the winner and provide exact time and location of contest described in paragraph 7 by no later than Saturday, January 13, 2001 for the January 14, 2001 event. For the event on February 3, the winner will be contacted no later than Friday February 2, 2001 at 5 PM. The scholarship checks will be presented no later than March 1, 2001.
6. WINNERS LIST: The winners' names can be obtained by sending a self addressed, stamped envelope to: Tar Heel Sports Marketing, 300 Market St. Suite 120-A, Chapel Hill NC 27516. Contest void where prohibited by law.
7. CONTEST: Three predetermined, former UNC women's basketball players will each shoot one shot during halftime on Sunday, January 14, 2001at the UNC/NC State women's basketball game at the Smith Center. On Saturday, February 3, 2001, three different predetermined, former UNC women's basketball players will each shoot one shot during halftime at the UNC/Georgia Tech men's basketball game at the Smith Center. Each former women's basketball player will be shooting one shot worth $500 for the student selected as the winner of the Wachovia Bank Shot contest for that date on tarheelblue.com. For each successful shot, the selected student winner will receive a $500 tuition scholarship and $500 will also be donated to the General Scholarship Fund at UNC, earmarked for UNC Women's Athletics. The maximum prize to the student winner is $1,500 and the maximum donation to the UNC General Scholarship Fund is $1500. If none of the shots are successful, the student winner will receive a $250 tuition scholarship and $250 will be donated to the UNC General Scholarship Fund for UNC Women's Athletics.
