Gatz Nominated for National Award

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. - Greg Gatz, Director of Strength & Conditioning for Olympic Sports, at the University of North Carolina, has been chosen as one of 14 nominees for the 2001 National Strength and Conditioning Association College Strength and Conditioning Professional of the Year Award. The award is given annually by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the winner is chosen by the NSCA membership. The award seeks to recognize college professionals who have shown excellence in their strength training and conditioning programs.
NSCA members have the opportunity to vote for the candidates up until the 2001 NSCA National Conference to be held July 11-14 in Spokane, Wash. The winner will be announced at the National Conference Awards Reception on Friday, July 13, 2001.
The National Strength and Conditioning Association is the worldwide authority on strength and conditioning, supports and disseminates research based knowledge and its practical application in an effort to improve athletic performance and fitness.
