Men's Tennis Hosts Virginia Sunday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - After a decisive 7-0 win over Maryland on Friday to open the 2001 Atlantic Coast Conference season the North Carolina men's tennis team will be back at it on Sunday afternoon when the #53-ranked Tar Heels host the #45-ranked Virginia Cavaliers at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. The match begins at 1 p.m.
UNC broke a two-match losing streak with its win over the Terrrapins on Friday afternoon. Carolina improved to 5-5 overall and 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference with the victory. Virginia is 5-2 overall and 0-1 in the ACC. The Cavaliers' only losses have come against Florida State and Fresno State.
After the match with the Cavaliers on Sunday the Tar Heels will continue ACC play next week with a 3 p.m. match at NC State (2-9, ACC 0-2) on Wednesday and a 1 p.m. match with Florida State (6-7, ACC 3-1) next Saturday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
