
Finley Golf Course Voted Best Bang For The Buck

Chapel Hill, N.C. - Finley Golf Course was ranked second in the state by members of the North Carolina Magazine golf panel for offering terrific golf at reasonable rates. More than 100 courses were considered and Finley, which accumulated 63 points, was topped only by Tanglewood Park in Clemmons which amassed 103 points.
Finley Golf Course was redesigned in 1999 by internationally renowned golf course designer Tom Fazio. Finley features a par 72 layout with five sets of tees ranging from 4,981 yards from the foward tees to 7,187 yards from the championship markers, thus presenting a stiff challenge to the best golfers while still remaining accessible to those of all skill levels. The golf panel also rated Anderson Creek in Spring Lake as the best new course in the state. Anderson Creek was designed by PGA tour player and former UNC golfer Davis Love, III.
