
UNC Women's Tennis Team Wins at Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, MD.-As with the University of Virginia on Saturday, the 8th ranked Tar Heels won all six singles matches against the University of Maryland on Sunday afternoon. The Tar Heels improve to 18-3 on the season and are undefeated against ACC competition.
Marlene Mejia, Kate Pinchbeck, Julie Rotondi and Aniela Mouzis won handily while Lee Bairos and Kendall Cline were forced into tie-breakers before defeating Emily DeCamilla and Chloe Chavardes of Maryland.
However, in doubles competition, UNC lost two of three matches, giving up one point while winning the match over all by a score of 6-1.
The UNC women's tennis team will next see action on April 12th in a 2:30 p.m. home match against Clemson.
