Carolina Men's Tennis Defeats Campbell 7-0

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina men's tennis team dominated the Campbell Camels 7-0 in round one of its double header Saturday. The Tar Heels host Villanova at 5:00 p.m.
Carolina took two out three matches in doubles competition and won all six single matches. Senior Andy Metzler stated, "I think today we were hoping to come out strong. Some of us did struggle today on and off, but I think we showed a lot of heart and everyone pulled it out which is good at this time of the season."
Head Coach Sam Paul noted, "I was pleased with our performance. I know that Campbell has a very good team and I know that they compete hard, so I was pleased."
North Carolina improved to 3-0 with the win. Campbell fell to 1-3.
The Tar Heels will host Charlotte Tuesday, February 10 at 2:30 p.m. at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. The match will be contested indoors.
