Tar Heels Move Up To No. 19

SKILLMAN, N.J. - The University of North Carolina men's tennis team moved into the Top 20 this week of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings as the Tar Heels jumped to No. 19 in the poll released Tuesday by the ITA. It is the first time Carolina has been in the Top 20 this season after starting the year at No. 50.
UNC is 13-2 overall and 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tar Heels' only losses have come at the hands of No. 12 VCU (5-2) and No. 14 Harvard (4-3).
Carolina will host a tennis doubleheader Saturday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center, playing UNC Greensboro at 10 a.m. and UNC Wilmington at 4 p.m. Admission is free.
