New Multimedia Features On TarHeelBlue.com

CHAPEL HILL -- TarHeelBlue.com is proud to introduce a series of new multimedia features that will help bring Carolina fans even closer to the action of their favorite UNC sports. Fans can access these exciting new features at the top right corner of each page on TarHeelblue.com.
Carolina All-Access includes live audio broadcasts from the Tar Heel Sports Network of football, men's basketball, women's basketball, women's soccer, men's soccer and baseball games on a subscription basis.
Tar Heel Extra features video produced by the Carolina Athletics video department and includes behind-the-scenes access to footage available only at TarHeelBlue.com. Highlights of Tar Heel Extra include exclusive interviews, weekly press conferences, postgame press conferences, highlight packages and more.
Carolina fans now have a new way to see the Tar Heel sports they love thanks to a new broadband network called ACC Select. The ACC Select network will stream Tar Heel Olympic sports, including baseball, women's basketball, field hockey, gymnastics, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, softball, swimming, men's and women's tennis, track, volleyball and wrestling, that are not available through traditional broadcast and cable television distribution. Never before have such a large number of events been streamed in their entirety, giving fans the opportunity to see home and away games live or on-demand whenever and wherever they want.
The Atlantic Coast Conference, in partnership with Raycom Sports and Lincoln Financial Sports, will offer online video streaming for all 12 member schools this academic year. All ACC Championship events not currently televised will also be available on the network. The new network is made possible with the production and technical capabilities of Turner roadcasting.
"Carolina's Olympic sports program has a rich history and tremendous fan following," says Director of Athletics Dick Baddour. "We also have one of the premier Internet sites in the country in TarHeelBlue.com. Thanks to ACC Select, TarHeelBlue is now even better because our fans can watch live coverage of a number of Olympic sports right from their computer, no matter where they are across the world."
UNC fans can visit www.tarheelblue.com to sign up or view a schedule of events. Fans can watch events live or on-demand on a per-event basis ($3.99 per event) or with an all-event pass which will allow unlimited access to Tar Heel games and will also allow Carolina fans to check out the competition throughout the ACC. The all-event pass will premiere at a charter price of $5.99 per month.
ACC Select is a new broadband experience that delivers to ACC fans the teams they care about and the games not available anywhere else. With full-screen video delivered right to the computer, ACC Select will provide access to events whenever fans want--live or on-demand.
