CHAPEL HILL -- The University of North Carolina athletic ticket office and the Carolina Athletic Association will institute a new, online student ticket distribution procedure beginning on Friday.
Full-time, athletic-fees paying students can signup online beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday Aug. 25 for the distribution of tickets for the Virginia Tech and NC State football games. Signups for men's basketball tickets will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday Oct. 2.
"The goal of the new online ticketing process is to offer every student a fair and equal chance to obtain tickets," says UNC Associate Athletic Director for Ticket Operations Clint Gwaltney. "We believe this system will accomplish that goal."
To use the new system, students should log on to www.TarHeelBlue.com, click on the "Buy Tickets Online" button and then go to the link for "Student Tickets." Please note that there is no advantage to signing up early, but all signups must be done prior to the deadline listed for each game. A schedule of deadlines and full instructions are available for download in PDF format (above).
