Rain Slows Day One Of GT Invitational, Not Ivy

ATLANTA --- Vanneisha Ivy was the only Tar Heel to compete in a rain-shortened first day of the Georgia Tech Invitational Friday at the George C. Griffin track, but she certainly made it count. Ivy posted a 13.64 time to finish first in heat three of the 100-meter hurdle preliminaries - achieving an NCAA regional qualifying mark and a new personal best in the process.
She and the rest of UNC's athletes at the meet will resume competition Saturday.
