Four Tar Heels To Play in 2009 All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. - Four Tar Heels will play in the 2009 D'Novo ITA All-American Championships, the first national tournament of the 2009-10 season.
Clay Donato is in the main draw of the singles tournament, while Brennan Boyajian, Andrew Crone and Stefan Hardy will all have a chance to enter that draw through a qualifying tournament. UNC will also enter Donato and Hardy as one doubles pair and Boyajian and Crone as the other.
North Carolina currently has two nationally-ranked singles players: Donato (16th) and Hardy (110th). Donato and Hardy also are ranked 29th in the nation in doubles.
The Championships begin with a 256-player pre-qualifying singles tournament which will take place on Oct. 3-4. The pre-qualifying tournament then feeds into 128-player and 64-doubles team qualifying tournaments on Oct. 5-7, which then feed into the 64-player, 32-doubles team main draws on Oct. 8-11.
