CHAPEL HILL -- One of three softball seniors, Brittany McKinney joined THB.com Monday to discuss the upcoming 2011 season. The Charlotte native posts a career .283 batting average and 16 career home runs. An active member in the Carolina Leadership program, McKinney is one of three senior leaders.
McKinney discussed entering her senior campaign, the adjustments of catching freshmen pitchers, her experience in the Carolina Leadership Academy and her idea for a senior picture.
The Tar Heels open the 2011 season February 11 against Kansas in Jacksonville, Fla.
