December 3, 2010 | General
Dec. 3, 2010
Tar Heel student-athletes have put their muscle to work for a good cause this fall, helping at local Habitat for Humanity build sites. UNC athletics long has played a role in Habitat, but the work this fall has been part of a special effort, Build a Block, a student-led project with the goal of building 10 homes in 10 moments for members of the UNC community. Various UNC departments and organizations, athletics among them, have donated time and funding to the project.
