No. 18 UNC Earns Third Seed In ACC Tourney

CHAPEL HILL - The 18th-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels earned a bye and the third seed in this weekend's ACC Tournament after winning seven conference matches in 2010.
UNC will face the winner of Thursday's first round match between Wake Forest and Maryland at the Cary Tennis Park on Friday at 3 p.m.
Top-ranked Virginia earned the first seed in the ACC Tourney. The Duke Blue Devils were seeded second after finishing the regular season ranked 17th in the nation.
Carolina finished the regular season with an overall record of 17-5 and and ACC record of 7-3.
North Carolina has faced each of its potential opponents once in conference play this season. The Tar Heels defeated Maryland 4-3 in College Park on March 26, but lost to Wake Forest 5-2 in Chapel Hill on March 30.
