Tar Heel Monthly magazine is looking for a dedicated intern for the 2010-11 school year. The ideal candidate would be an undergraduate or graduate student at Carolina.
Beginning July 30, the selected intern will assist with coverage of football training camp. This involves conducting player interviews, an occasional coach interview, podcasting player/coach interviews and posting to TarHeelBlue.com, producing original stories to run on TarHeelBlue.com (approximately one/week), occasionally attending portions of practice and possibly other duties.
Football season brings weekly press conferences and features for TarHeelBlue.Com, game programs and Tar Heel Monthly. The intern will also produce weekly Olympic sports features beginning in August. Other sports will bring more opportunities to produce content. For the right person, the internship can be a great opportunity for writing experience and a peek inside the world of college athletics.
