Q & A: Senior Dani Manko

CHAPEL HILL -- In another installment of softball player interviews, senior Dani Manko joined THB.com to discuss the upcoming 2011 season. The softball squad opened team practice this past week and open the spring 2011 season Feb. 11 against Kansas in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Mission Viejo, Calif., native has appeared in over 170 games in her career. In 2010, Manko made 49 starts in the outfield and swiped seven bases. The senior discusses the team's preparations for the 2011 season, entering her senior season and the adjustment of two new coaches and six new freshman. Manko, the team's community service leader, also addresses the team's community service efforts last fall.
