Blue/White Softball Scrimmage Rescheduled For Tuesday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C -- Postponed this weekend due to inclement weather, the North Carolina softball program has rescheduled the Blue/White scrimmage for 3:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon from Anderson Stadium. Admission is free and fans are encouraged to come to check out the No. 25 Tar Heels before the 2011 opener Feb. 11 against Kansas in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Tar Heels open their 2011 campaign at the Jacksonville University Tournament in Jacksonville, Fla., Feb. 11-13. Carolina will play games against Kansas, Buffalo, Bethune Cookman and host Jacksonville.
No. 25 North Carolina follows the opening tournament with a three game series at No. 5 Florida from Feb. 19-20. After a midweek tilt against UNC Wilmington, the Tar Heels will then host their home opener Feb. 25 in the 2011 Carolina Classic.
The 2011 Carolina Classic will feature Florida International, Georgetown, NC State, Penn State, St. Joseph's and host UNC. Carolina hosts Georgetown at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25 in the 2011 home opener. The Tar Heels will also play games against Florida International, Penn State and St. Joseph's.
