CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The UNC Department of Athletics and UNC's Student-Athlete Advisory Council honored Tar Heel seniors at the fifth-annual Student-Athlete Graduation Reception May 4 at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center. The event recognized student-athletes graduating in December 2010, May 2011 and December 2011.
Seniors and their families enjoyed a program that included words from Director of Athletics Dick Baddour, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Winston Crisp, Assistant A.D. for Student-Athlete Development Cricket Lane, Senior Associate A.D. John Blanchard and senior golfer Jordan Allyne, the SAAC president. The keynote speaker was women's basketball assistant coach Charlotte Smith, a UNC graduate who hit the game-winning shot as the Tar Heels won the NCAA women's basketball championship in 1994.
Congratulations and best wishes to all of the Tar Heel seniors!
