Throughout the academic year, Tar Heel student-athletes are active in local schools, setting strong examples of excelling academically and athletically.

Four student-athletes - Jordan Allyne (women's golf), Meredith Newton (women's lacrosse), Kelsey Grich (rowing) and Meghan Lyons (field hockey) - formed a partnership with Glenwood Elementary School, where Tar Heel teams made weekly visits during the 2010-11 school year.
