The clubhouse at UNC Finley Golf Course is presently undergoing an extensive renovation. The project began in September 2011, and upon its completion in August 2012, the new Clubhouse will nearly double in size to 10,000 square feet. The new clubhouse will be a great addition to the outstanding Tom Fazio-designed golf course and help solidify the course's 4.5 star Golf Digest rating as well as maintain its recognition as one of the top collegiate courses in the country.
The newly-renovated clubhouse will feature a new restaurant for pre and post round dining as well as a lounge area where golfers can relax and enjoy many food and beverage options while watching sporting events on multiple flat screen televisions. There will also be outside seating on a covered porch near a fireplace for cool evenings after a round.
The new clubhouse will also be home to the A.E. Finley Memorabilia Room. Dedicated to Mr. A.E. Finley, who was instrumental in the original golf course and facility construction, the gallery will commemorate the history and involvement of Mr. Finley over the years of the course from its inception to its current status as one of the best courses in the state.
