Men's DMR Sets School Record At Alex Wilson Invite

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The UNC men's distance medley relay team broke the school record in the event set 24 years ago on the first night of the Alex Wilson Invitational Friday. Carolina will continue competition at Notre Dame as well as at the Virginia Tech Last Chance meet Saturday.
Although they missed the NCAA automatic qualifying mark, the DMR team of freshman Jack Driggs, junior Clayton Parros, freshman O'Neal Wanliss and sophomore Isaac Presson combined for a time of 9:40.21 to break the team record of 9:41.3, previously set by John Hussey, Marvin Hembrick, Johan Boakes and Jim Farmer in 1988.
Presson will also compete tomorrow in the mile, in addition to sophomore Lianne Farber and senior Ashley Verplank who will compete in the women's mile. Sophomore Sandi Morris and senior Parker Smith will compete in the pole vault events at the Virginia Tech meet.
